How to Read Our Condition Grades (and Shop Smart)
June 18, 2026 · 4 min read
Every item at Ventara ONE carries one of four condition grades. They're not marketing labels — they decide the price you pay, so it's worth knowing exactly what each one means.
The four grades
New: unopened or unused, in original packaging. Functionally and cosmetically as it left the factory.
Like new: opened or repackaged, but shows no signs of use. Often a customer return where the box was opened and nothing more.
Used – good: light, visible signs of use — small scuffs or scratches — but fully functional and complete unless the listing says otherwise.
Used – acceptable: clear cosmetic wear. Works as intended, priced accordingly. The listing will spell out anything notable.
How we grade
Every item from a pallet is inspected by hand before it's listed. We power on electronics, count parts against the manual where we can, and note anything missing directly in the description. If an item doesn't pass inspection, it never reaches the store.
Which grade should you buy?
For gifts, stick to New or Like new. For your own kitchen, workshop, or kids' toys, Used – good is usually the sweet spot: most of the discount, none of the drama. Used – acceptable is for pure value hunters — read the notes and you'll know exactly what you're getting.
